Whirl-wind

Our Booth...

We survived another bridal show yesterday! After family left on Tuesday we knew we needed to get our act together to get ready for the show. We wanted to change a few things about our booth and only had a few days to pull it together. Wednesday we bought the bookcase but couldn't take it home since it didn't fit in the car. It also would not fit on Thursday with G's car (his back seat folds down), so G had to pick it up with the truck we rented on Friday. Also on friday I was able to get some old carpet samples - enough to have carpet for our booth. So Friday night we drove up to the convention center with only 45 min. of set up time left. We had Sat. morning but we were worried about how long the carpet would take and how hard would it be to put together the bookcase. Luckly we had enough time to do both before we were kicked out. That night we put together all of our photos in frames, a bunch of new albums, and a few new printed pieces as well.
Saturday morning we were up early and on our way to the convention center with another truck load of stuff. We worked hard for a few hours and still had enough time to change and have something to drink and eat before the doors opened at noon.
We felt the show went well. We had more traffic than we did at the last show and we hope to have a few bookings from it. We'll see! We both agreed as did others that our booth looked great and we really feel we have what we want it to look like for a while.
It took us 2 hours to get everything taken apart and before we were able to get a cart to get our stuff out to the truck. Then we had to unload everything into the house and return the truck back in chatt. that same night.
I was upset because we use G's desk-top as a table there and since it's a solid door we've stained and finished, it's very heavy and almost more than him and I can lift. Last time we had a friend help us so they did the door. Anyway, when we were setting it down here in the house, just inside the door it slipped and hit the floor pretty hard. Luckily it landed flat so the damage was minimal...
This morning we got up sore and tired and after we recouped some we worked most of the day on putting everything back in it's place.
G has his first day teaching tomorrow so he's getting ready for that, and I'm debating on laundry...
Anyway, that's our weekend.

So sorry about the desk top--it sounds like you both worked so hard-maybe you should buy a truck to carry all your stuff when your car dies!! Mary's pt cruiser holds her pedal harp!! Have a good week and rest some if you can

I love the poster pictures--they are exactly like the ones I saw in an EMem home except in a square 4 pics of two girls and it was so striking just like yours!!

Great use of space, too. It looks inviting, as if to say, "come stay a while and take a GOOD look."

Thanks guys.
Just talked to G. He said the first day of class went well. Looks like he has 10 girls and 1 guy. Could be interesting!
