You are a tried and trusted friend who will be there for your friends when they need you. But you have a tendency to be nervous about doing things that go against the norm.

I'm not quite sure about that part... I kind of like going against the norm...

Speaking of flowers, I'd love to see some pics of your garden when you get the chance. Hope your photo shoot went well today!

Hey everyone,
I've been trying to recover this weekend. I have most of my voice back and am feeling a lot better although now G is sick with stomach issues.

Our photo shoot went well. A different chemistry with this couple than others, not bad, just different. We were in a great location though and feel like we got good pictures.
I will definitely start taking some pictures of my flowers especially this week. I've not had many bloom yet but I'm expecting my calla lily to bloom as well as some of my irises (finally!). I had my first rose bloom last thursday and I have tons that are ready to bloom this week so I will be out shooting and will post pictures. I can also show you what our new little flower bed looks like around the mail box. Our Crete Myrtle did not revive from our Easter freeze, and all of my flowers have been stunned since then. I have new sprouts of it coming out of the base, but I think the old tree is dead...
The worst part is we are getting so hot and dry here I'm having to water flowers that have not even bloomed yet. A lot of our new grass we planted this spring is dead, and our lawn crunches when you walk on it. We've been watering but I think we are too late for a lot of it.

I'm glad you are feeling better--sorry Grant is feeling puny. I guess I was under the impression that the photo shoot on Fri was for your company but the way I read it was the engagement pictures...Am I correct? Also we'll be praying for you as you interview and consider these jobs.

Don't get too discouraged on the lawn... this is year 4, and we have some tips of the grass browning, too. It got dry and that's hard on the lawn. The best time to lay seed is in the fall, all the seed we laid after we had the hard aerated last fall started coming up before anything else. It must lay dormant and then has a jumpt start in the spring before the heat sets in.

Tech Mom - the photo shoot that was scheduled for Friday was cancelled - it was suppose to be for work but they couldn't get the props in time so they are doing it later. We had an engagement session on Saturday.
