24 Hours
That's how long my cell phone went missing.
I had it a lunch yesterday at work - we had lunch brought in, and then I had a meeting at 2:30 that I don't think I had my phone at. I didn't notice it was missing until 4:30 and I tried to call it at it went straight to voicemail which was strange.
I started looking and retracing my steps and stayed until 6 looking for it. I thought it may have been in a room that was locked so this morning I went in there right away but it wasn't there.
I started telling everyone, because I had a feeling I set it down somewhere but just didn't know where. I called and reported it missing and they cancelled the signal until otherwise notified. I looked everywhere all morning. We had another lunch brought in and I was in a room with 25 people eating and I was talking about my phone missing.
After lunch it "magically appeared" in the breakroom. I called to reactivate it and realized my sim card had been taken out and put back in wrong.
We have 3 theories. 1. whom ever stole it realized their sim card didn't work in mine so they "returned" it, 2. whom ever stole it heard it was mine and felt bad and "returned" it, or 3. whom ever stole it just felt guilty and decided to "return" it.
Either way I know it was stolen, and it was stolen during work hours in the area that I work in. Disturbing...
